Baklövah Bakery & Cafe at Blue Star in Southtown, the second bakery from the family behind Pasha Mediterranean Grill, has closed. Baklövah’s original location on Wurzbach Road remains open.
Baklövah at Blue Star opened in 2019, a sister restaurant to the original Baklovah, which opened in 2016. It extended the original bakery’s menu of pastries, cookies and Middle Eastern sweets by adding shawarma, gyros, wraps and salads.
Customers at Blue Star were greeted by a sign announcing the closure, directing them to the Wurzbach Road location of Baklövah Bakery & Sweets and its sister operation next door, Naara Cafe and Hookah. A call to the original bakery confirmed that it’s still operating.
Baklövah Bakery & Sweets is at 9329 Wurzbach Road, Suite 104, 210-982-3231, baklovah.com.
